Road to the Legend

The tour “Road to the Legend” is a one-day educational and pilgrimage trip to the mausoleum of Mashkhur Jusup (Pavlodar region), revealing to you the spiritual heritage and cultural memory of Kazakhstan.

What to Expect

The journey will begin with an early morning departure from the city. The road will give you the opportunity to admire the nature of the eastern steppes and listen to the guide's stories about the life and works of Mashkhur Jusup — an outstanding Kazakh thinker, poet and public figure.

Upon arrival at the mausoleum you will visit the shrine itself: an architecturally majestic building with a dome and minarets, a madrasa and a museum of Islamic culture attached to it. The guide will tell the history of the building, about the life of Mashkhur Jusup and his spiritual legacy. You will be able to go inside, see the tomb, learn about the exhibits and feel the atmosphere of peace and contemplation.

During the day a light lunch near the mausoleum is planned (at your own expense) and there will be an opportunity to ask the guide questions. In the evening you will return to the city filled with impressions and inspiration.
